On May 2, 2017, four outstanding school counselors received special recognition at the Tucson Unified K12 School Guidance Counselor meeting.

• Elementary – Shelly Dunn, Blenman Elementary
• K8 – Julia McGee, Safford K8 Magnet School
• Middle School – Jeff Lent, Valencia Middle School
• High School – Annie Conway, Palo Verde High Magnet

All of these counselors have shown excellence in the area of school guidance counseling and have gone above and beyond the call of duty in support of students at their school sites.
