Donald Brown

Donald (Don) Brown has been a strings/orchestra teacher for 27 years and has taught in several locations in the Western US, including Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona. He holds a BA Music Education from Graceland College (Iowa) and an MA Music from University of Wyoming. Don has been a music curriculum writer for school districts in Nevada and New Mexico and an ASTA Conference presenter on string instrument performance injury/recovery. He is a violist and has performed with several professional ensembles, including the Utah Symphony. Don is also a music writer-composer and has composed a music portfolio, used by NBC-TV for broadcast during the 2018 Winter Olympics. He has taught high school, middle school, and elementary strings and guitar and has also taught college undergraduate music. He is an avid fly-fisherman, and mountain climber.
