Mentor Programs

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters
    To create and support one-to-one adult-to-child mentor relationships guiding youth from a position of risk to one of achieving their highest potential.
  • Goodwill® GoodGuides
    Goodwill® GoodGuides is a national mentoring program for youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who are at risk for making harmful choices such as dropping out of school or joining a gang. These youth may also be at risk for delinquency.
  • Project YES
    Project YES provides after-school tutoring and mentoring services to children grades K-8 focusing on academic achievement and the development of positive social skills. Each day participants receive homework help and tutoring services in reading, writing and math. Youth participants also receive instruction in computer technology, intramural sports, and arts and crafts.This program is offered Monday-Friday 2:30pm-5:00pm.
  • Strength Building Partners
    The StrengthBuilding Partners Mentoring Program is currently in operation at Lawrence Intermediate and Valencia Middle Schools as well as various surrounding schools which the Sewa Uusim mentees attend. Working in partnership with the Sewa Uusim Systems of Care program, SBP has extended its mentoring program to include the Sewa Uusim youth.
