Photo of Jim TalmadgeSam Hughes Elementary will be celebrating their very own Mr. Jim Tallmadge for his 50 years of teaching, coaching, and serving this great Tucson Unified school.

In his 50 years at Sam Hughes Elementary, Mr. T, as his friends and students call him, has encouraged and enlightened generation after generation of young people. Mr. T has made countless contributions to Sam Hughes and has touched the lives of thousands of Kindergarten through 5th grade students.

On Friday, April 5, 2019 we will celebrate and honor Mr. Talmadge for the impact and inspiration he has had on the community. The event will take place at the Sam Hughes Elementary Court Yard (700 N. Wilson Ave) from 6:00–8:00 p.m. with pizza and a potluck style meal for all. There will be special speakers and performances from students.

We invite you to come celebrate with the Sam Hughes community! The event it is open to the public.
