Dun & Bradstreet presents TUSD with $10,000 check
Posted April 17, 2014
Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. presented Tucson Unified School with a $10,000 donation for STEM education at the Governing Board meeting on April 15.
The donation will be used for science, technology, engineering and math initiatives, including a summer camp for rising first-graders and programs at two middle schools. Booth-Fickett Math/Science School will create an optical robotics team, and Mansfeld Middle School will use the a portion of the Dun & Bradstreet funds for hydropower kits that show students how water is used as a renewable resource.
The donation is part of Dun & Bradstreet's EdAhead program, which matches its employees' contributions to their college education plans. The company then totals the matching dollars for each office for the year and donates an additional amount to the school district where the Dun & Bradstreet office is located.
