Sahuaro high school female students participate in workshop designed to get women to run for office

"Having a voice is how you change the world"

"Running and Winning," an inspiring workshop for high school girls at Sahuaro High School sponsored by the League of Women Voters, American Association of University Women, Pima County Women's Commission and UA's School of Government and Public Policy, provided the opportunity for young women students at Sahuaro High School to meet with elected officials and women in political careers. The students also explored leadership roles and ran a mock senate campaign. In its thirteenth year, the annual workshop is designed to address the under-representation of women in elected positions.
