How to Use This Page

This page contains a "menu" of lessons and activities for this week's learning at home. You will find the objectives: the specific skills that your child will be able to do. Then you will find a selection of lessons and activities which help your child master those skills. If you run into technical issues or other difficulties with any of these, simply move on and choose another. These activities fit into the Sample Dailly Schedule.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Your child DOES NOT have to complete all activities listed for each subject.
  • Activities have been identified to give your child choice and variety.
  • Your child's teacher may suggest other activities more appropriate for your child.

Please email or call your teacher.

Moon Journal- Make night-sky observations, go outside at about the same time each evening (when it’s dark) and observe the sky. Take a few minutes to enjoy the night sky. Talk to someone about what you see. For example, if it’s cloudy, you won’t see anything but clouds. If it’s clear, you will see stars (you might want to point out a constellation or two), planets (points of light that appear larger and brighter than stars), and sometimes the Moon. Discuss the changes in the night sky from night to night, especially the changing appearance of the Moon. To complete an entry, record the date and time, write a few sentences about what you observe, and draw a picture to show what the Moon looks like.
