How to Use This Page

This page contains a "menu" of lessons and activities for this week's learning at home. You will find the objectives: the specific skills that your child will be able to do. Then you will find a selection of lessons and activities which help your child master those skills. If you run into technical issues or other difficulties with any of these, simply move on and choose another. These activities fit into the Sample Dailly Schedule.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Your child DOES NOT have to complete all activities listed for each subject.
  • Activities have been identified to give your child choice and variety.
  • Your child's teacher may suggest other activities more appropriate for your child.

Math Objectives: Students will be able to: 

  • add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals using the standard algorithm

Objetivo de matemáticas: Los estudiantes van a poder: 

  • sumar, restar, multiplicar, y dividirdecimales usando el algoritmo estándar. 
Vocabulario (español)

Decimal: not a whole number, only part of the whole (Example: 0.75). 

Algorithm: a step by step method for solving a problem 

Standard Algorithm: traditional, step by step instructions for solving a problem 

Decimal: No es un número entero, solo parte de un entero (ejemplo: 0.75). 

Algoritmo: Método que muestra cada paso que se aplica para resolver un problema. 

Algoritmo estándar:  El tradicional, instrucciones de cada paso al resolver un problema.
