Congratulations to Community Transition Program graduates

Posted May 23, 2014

Ten students from the TUSD's Exceptional Education Community Transition Program – ACT graduated on Wednesday. The students successfully completed two years in the program and engaged in learning by participating in service-learning, career specific internships, interacting with the public, and accessing the community on a full-time basis. All of the ACT graduates will enter into meaningful post-high school opportunities including employment, service to the community and further education.

The mission of Tucson Unified School District's Community Transition Program is to develop partnerships with parents and the greater Tucson community to provide students with disabilities, ages 18 to 22, a meaningful and rigorous transition to post-high school environments.
