Management Information System

The MIS group's goal is the support of the Facilities Management Department in their endeavor to maintain the district's buildings and properties within their resources. With the use of 'Mapcon', our Computerized Maintenance Management System, we create, schedule, complete, and track an average of 60,000 work orders per year. Also, each year, Maintenance and Engineering will complete about 750 projects that are scheduled & tracked by 'Mapcon' using M&O, DESEG, CAPITAL, and RENEWAL funding. As we develop in the next year or two, the Intranet/Internet will become a much-used tool enabling the entire district access to Mapcon. This will allow all sites the ability to create their own work requests or to create reports detailing the status of their work orders.
