DEPARTMENT
OF SCHOOL SAFETY
Together We Are Making A Difference!

The Department of School Safety is in operation 24 hours a
day, seven days a week.
To make an anonymous report regarding any on-campus
concerns, such as weapons, fights, graffiti, truancy, assaults,
drugs, violence, gangs, confrontations, non-students, etc.,
call the Safe-T-Zone Message Line at 584-7680. Anonymous
reports can also be made directly to the hotline, 584-7680.
The staff includes the district coordinator, two captains,
one uniformed security supervisor, one uniformed security
shift sergeant, ten uniformed security officers, one district
monitor coordinator, school safety officers, three security
dispatchers, and two office staff.
Departmental responsibility encompasses a wide variety of
safety and security concerns, including student and staff
safety, the physical security of the school sites and grounds,
and training for all middle and high school monitors. In
addition, the department's truancy officers ensure unexcused
students are in school.
