VAGRANCY NEAR SCHOOL GROUNDS
BOARD POLICY 1440
"A person who
without legitimate reason loiters about a school where children are in attendance or a
nearby public place frequented by school children, shall be deemed a vagrant, and shall be
punished by a fine of not more than three hundred dollars, by imprisonment in the county
jail for not more than six months, or both."
(Article 13, Section 13-992)
NOTE: This Governing Board Policy was
repealed on April 23, 1996. Behavior which is addressed in Governing
Board Policy 1440, Vagrancy Near School Grounds, is covered in Governing
Board Policy 1350, Conduct Expected Of All Persons On Or Using School District Property.
