BOARD POLICY 4050

It shall be the general practice of the District not to employ members of the immediate family of any administrator in any position in the District which is subject to the supervisory, appointment, or grievance adjustment authority of that administrator. Should this situation occur after assignment as a result of marriage, involuntary transfer due to reorganization, reduction in force, or similar circumstances, it shall be the responsibility of the employee and the relative who will be directly or indirectly responsible for the evaluation of the employee, or the employee's immediate superior to bring this to the attention of the appropriate administrative superior for resolution.

No dependent, as defined in Arizona Revised Statutes, of a Governing Board member may be employed in the School District except by consent of the Board. Such Board member who is related to a prospective employee may not participate in the vote for appointment in the case of any exceptions.
