12/99 - Request for proposals for superintendent search firm mailed.

1/2000 - Initial development of the new superintendent profile. Refinement of profile Design system for feedback into profile

1/27/2000 - Opening proposals for search firm

2/2000 - Implementation of feedback system. Meetings with community groups and with school district employee organizations to gain input into the profile.

2/8/2000 - Formal approval by the Governing Board of the working copy of the profile Public hearing to receive input into profile at Governing Board meeting.

3/2000 - Feedback integrated into Superintendent's Profile Advertisements throughout the country for a superintendent for TUSD

4/2000 - Narrowing of candidates by search firm

4/15 - 4/30 - Interviewing of candidates by Governing Board

5/2000 - Appointment of Superintendent by Governing Board
