Approved funding proposals:

  • Arizona Department of Education: Instructional Technology Regional Technical Training Center in Tucson Unified School District
  • Hitachi Foundation: Community Learning Project, collaborative effort with the University of Arizona for Lawrence and Ft. Lowell elementary schools

Approved Agreements between Tucson Unified School District:

  • Governing Board and the Arizona State Board of Education, for an Intergovernmental Food Service Agreement with authorization for the Director of Food Services to execute the Agreement (annual)
  • and the City of Tucson, for an Intergovernmental Agreement for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to construct the Outdoor Learning Environment, Pueblo Gardens Elementary School (new)
  • and the University of Phoenix for placement of nursing students at selected TUSD sites for 1998-99 (new)

Awarded Bid No. 98VB to Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. Tucson, for carbonated vending and fountain from August 1, 1998 through June 30, 2001

Awarded Bid No. 6597 to Western Water Technologies, Inc. Award is recommended for Fiscal 1999, with the option to renew the contract for up to four consecutive fiscal years.

Awarded Bid No. 6635 to Lefco, Inc. for Naylor Middle School mechanical equipment installation

Granted pedestrian easement to the City of Tucson, Wrightstown Elementary School

Approved Additional Special Conditions for drainage project at Lawrence Elementary School

Ratified salary and non-salary vouchers for the period beginning April 7, 1998 and ending May 4, 1998
