- Approved the administrative appointments, transfers and reassignments of: Blaine
Paradise, assistant principal, Valencia Middle School; Jane Mullins, Ph.D., assistant
director, Ajo Service Center; David Dawson, assistant director, Rosemont Service Center
- Adopted hearing officers' recommendations regarding the expulsion of four students
- Appointed four new members to the Independent Citizens Committee - Clarence Boykins,
Nellie Suarez, Evelyn Yanagihashi, Albert Soto
- Upheld arbitrator's recommendation - Grievance No. W-236

- Approved Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 6701 - Comprehensive Insurance Program and

- Approved funding proposal - National Science Foundation: Teacher Enhancement to

- Approved correction of position title of personnel appointment of November 10, 1998,
from Pan Asian Program Specialist to Pan Asian American Studies Project Specialist
- Approved salary increases and fringe benefits for the Superintendent and the
Superintendent's Executive Staff for 1998-99 with authorization for the Superintendent or
his/her designee to sign administrators' contracts on behalf of the Governing Board
