The
kindergarten recruitment campaign by the Communications & Media
Relations Department this month featured 10 billboards, TUSD bus
signs, school banners at each elementary school, the TUSD Web site,
and TV ads on six channels, including the Spanish language KHHR
station. Viewers were urged to contact neighborhood TUSD schools
for the dates and times of school tours, activities and registration.
Materials went out Feb. 12, television spots ran Feb. 19 to March
4. Ninety-two 30-second spots targeted a female audience.
KGUN-TV also donated five public service anouncements that aired
during the Academy Awards program on Feb. 25.
Borman
kindergarten teacher Marci Mohr and her kindergarten class were
featured in this promotion. Mohr also appeared in the "Save the
Beans" video in the Tips from Teachers campaign.
