Family Literacy at Wright

Dramatizing what they've learned
A
creative version of the "Three Little Pigs" took the stage Friday,
March 30, at Wright Elementary School, where 18
graduates of the Family Literacy program performed for their families
and teachers. Jill Verbeck taught the adults while
their preschool children went to the Head Start program. Family
Literacy helps parents integrate with the school district and also
teaches them ways to enrich their children's education. Volunteers
with the AmeriCorps program helped with the program. Students who
performed in the "Three Little Pigs" adapted the story's ending
and also supplied their own costumes.
