TUSD Auction Held June 23
Surplus TUSD equipment and vehicles will go on the auction block Saturday, June 23, beginning at 9 a.m. at South Campbell Avenue and East Winsett Street.

Southwest Real Estate Auctioneers John A. Weaver and Glenn P. Munson will simultaneously auction the items. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be available at a stand in the area.

To preview and inspect the inventory, go to the site on Friday, June 22, from noon to 4 p.m. or one hour before the auction begins the next day. A partial inventory listed these items:

• Industrial arts and shop equipment--Table saws, drill presses, vises, belt and disk sanders, jigsaw and scroll saws and wood vises.
• Auto shop--New diesel engine, motor home and bus rooftop air-conditioner, digital test center, digital analyzer, hunter scope, wheel alignment center, photo equipment and shop tool boxes.
• Musical instruments--Pianos and band instruments, organs and other miscellaneous musical instruments.
• Kitchen equipment and appliances--Dishwashers, freezers, refrigerators, stoves, ovens, stainless steel shelves, ice machines, carts, freezer boxes and microwaves.
• Electronic equipment--Copiers, photo equipment, computers, typewriters, laminators, audio-visual equipment and ballasts.
• Maintenance equipment and supplies--Cabinet equipment, hardware and paint sprayers.
• Industrial equipment and materials--Refrigerators, heaters, window air-conditioners, evaporative coolers and landscaping equipment.
• Physical education--Scoreboards.
• Classroom furniture and fixtures--Teachers' desks, cafeteria tables, students' desks and chairs, lockers, filing cabinets, cabinets and chalkboards.

These diesel and gas buses will also be auctioned:

• 1985 Bluebirds--48-passenger (3)
• 1985 Bluebird--84-passenger
• 1986 Bluebird--84-passenger
• 1989 Bluebird--84-passenger (3)
• 1990 Thomas--36-passenger diesel
• 1990 Bluebird--6-passenger with compressed gas.

These vehicles will be auctioned:

• 1984 Dodge car
• 1984 three-quarter-ton Chevrolet van (2)
• 1985 1-ton Chevrolet van
• 1985 Sport Chevrolet van
• 1985 Chevrolet van
• 1988 Chevrolet 12-pasenger van
• 1986 1-ton Dodge van
• 1991 three-quarter-ton Dodge cargo van
• 1983 GMC 10-passenger van
• 1991 Dodge Ram pickup with utility bed
• 1-ton cab and chassis with utility bed.

More vehicles are being added every day.

The Engineering, Facilities and Planning Department organizes the auction. Proceeds will go into the state's general education fund to help reduce taxes.
