Looking Ahead
Davis Bilingual offers an evening of poetry, song, dance and more
The TUSD family and community members are invited to "Noche de Exito" Thursday, May 1, starting at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria at Davis Bilingual Magnet School, 500 W. St. Mary's Road. Davis students will present poetry, songs, dances, books and informational items in Spanish to display their bilingual skills. For more information, call Davis at 225-1400.

Math Investigations conference to be held in May at Catalina Magnet
A math conference titled "Investigations Symposium: A Celebration" will take place Saturday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Catalina Magnet High School, 3645 E. Pima St.

The keynote speaker will be author Karen Econopolous. Topics include: Mathematics Skills and Concepts; Connecting to Parents; Student Writing in Mathematics; Student Communication: Writing and Talking About Mathematics.

The registration fee is $25 per person; 7.5 hours of professional development credit is available.  TUSD employees may send a check or money order, made out to TUSD, to TUSD Curriculum & Instruction, attention Yvette Brandenburg. To register, visit http://edweb.tusd.k12.az.us/math/registration.asp

Quarterly Awards and Recognition Ceremony
The end-of-the-school-year Quarterly Awards and Recognition Ceremony will be Thursday, May 15, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Pueblo Magnet High School, 3500 South 12th Avenue. Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, May 1. To nominate individuals and groups, contact your building principal or e-mail nominations to Karen.Bynum@tusd1.org.
