Howenstine dedicates landscape project
Howenstine Magnet High School hosted a V.I.P. Breakfast and Service Learning Celebration May 9 to dedicate its landscape renovation project at the school, at 555 S. Tucson Blvd. The school thanked everyone for their "support and dedication to the academic success of our students through service learning," said Shelly Camp, Howenstine's Service Learning coordinator.
Habitat for Humanity homes turned over to new owners
Students at Santa Rita High School and Sabino High School, along with their teachers, turned over the keys to two Habitat for Humanity houses at a dedication on April 29. The ceremony marked the end of a year of work by the Construction Technologies program at both schools.
Kathy Prather, TUSD's Career and Technical Education director and Habitat for Humanity board member, was the mistress of ceremonies. The new houses are at 1733 and 1759 S. Mountain Ave. Santa Rita High is at 3951 S. Pantano Road; Sabino is at 5000 N. Bowes Road. |
