Students Invited to Help Celebrate Tucson's Birthday
Students are invited to help celebrate Tucson's 232nd birthday by making birthday cards in August. Graphics for the cards are available at www.tucsonsbirthday.org. Tucson's birthday will be observed Aug. 20, but festivities will continue all month. Students are also invited to distribute the cards in the community. Birthday events can be listed on the Web site. Event criteria are that the occasion must be held in August, it must be open to the public, although it does not have to be free, and during the event, Tucson must be wished a happy birthday.
