Focus on TUSD - July 2007
Four-day Back to School Conference at
Tucson High
Now's your chance to learn geek speak, create a readers' corner
in your library or figure out how to use Promethean boards and smart
boards. Those topics are just a few of the many sessions set for
the annual Back to School Conference, July 30-Aug. 3.
The conference will be in the Technology Building at Tucson
High Magnet School, 400 N. Second Ave. Participants should
register each day and design their own schedules. Although sessions
are open to everyone, capacity may be limited, so participants should
have an alternate plan if sessions are full. Some sessions are offered
more than once during the conference.
Salary Increment Credit forms will be distributed each day at the
registration table. Participants must have their presence validated
on the form, which is the only verification of attendance.
A limited number of box lunches will be available in the lobby
of the Technology Building each day for $2.50.
Some of the topics that will be covered are No Child Left Behind,
presented by the Tucson Education Association; teacher evaluation
protocol; classroom behavior management; expanded book repair; Title
I paperwork; LIRC resources; tips for media presentation; and health
plans.
