Former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico to Tour TUSD Schools

Former U.S. ambassador to Mexico Julian Nava will visit five TUSD schools beginning at 8 a.m. Jan. 17 at Davis Bilingual Magnet School, 500 W. St. Mary's Rd. 

Nava will speak to classes regarding the importance of volunteerism and his experiences as ambassador. He will also visit the following schools tomorrow:

Tucson High Magnet School, 400 N. Second Ave. - 9:12 a.m. to 10:45 a.m
Robison Elementary School, 2745 E. 18th St. - 11 a.m. to noon
Cholla High Magnet School, 2001 W. Starr Pass Blvd. - 1:32 p.m. to 2:25 p.m.
Naylor Middle School, 1701 S. Columbus Blvd. - 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

He will also be featured speaker at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity in Tolerance event tonight at 7 p.m. at the Leo Rich Theater, 260 S. Church.
