TUSD’s Bright Ideas Committee will celebrate its inception with a request for community suggestions for making TUSD the preeminent district for Tucson students and employees during its
Bright Ideas Day, set for Wednesday, Jan. 25. Suggestions will be accepted online at
http://www.tusd.k12.az.us/contents/bicform.html
Although it has welcomed suggestions on a variety of topics from the community throughout the past year, Bright Ideas Day will mark the first time the committee asks TUSD community members to submit responses to a specific question, “How do we make TUSD the best place to send your child, the best place to attend school and the best place to work?” Bright Ideas Day is part of the committee’s bi-annual campaign efforts to pose a new yet timely question to the community every fall and spring.
Since its launch in 2005, the Bright Ideas Committee has helped implement suggestions that have resulted in savings for the district of over $2.1 million. Submissions are entered into a database and reviewed biweekly by committee members composed of teachers, parents, principals, administrators and support staff.
