TUSD Native American Studies Department to Hold Public Meeting

The TUSD Native American Studies department will hold a public hearing from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, in the Board Room at the Morrow Education Center, 1010 E. 10th St.

The purpose of the annual public hearing is to gather information, comments, and suggestions from parents, students and members of the Indian community regarding Impact Aid, Title VII, and Johnson O’Malley programs. 

Interested persons can call the Native American Studies department at 225-6245 for further information. For those who cannot attend, the department will accept written or faxed comments until 5 p.m., Feb. 9. Comments can be faxed to 225-6546 or mailed to Tucson Unified School District, Native American Studies Department, P.O. Box 40400, Tucson, Arizona, 85719. Please send them to the attention of David Geesey, Interim Director.
