Howenstine To Hold Wall Raising Ceremony
for Habitat for Humanity

Students at Howenstine High Magnet School, 555 S. Tucson Blvd., will help mark the school's fourth Habitat for Humanity High School Build by raising the walls of its latest home in ceremony set for
10 a.m. Feb. 11 at the school.
Featured speakers will include Superintendent Stan Paz and representatives from Wells Fargo and Realty Executives. As a community business partner to the school, Wells Fargo provided $60,000 in funding needed for the construction of the home. In addition to helping students raise the walls, Wells Fargo and Realty Executive employees will continue to help students finish the home's construction.
Howenstine High Magnet School is a service learning magnet school that provides community service learning experience to its students through its building technology curriculum. One of the school's goals is to develop the magnet focus of service learning by concentrating on partnerships with families and community organizations to improve student achievement.
