GALE Students Raise Money for Red Cross

Student council members at Gale Elementary School, 678 S. Gollob Rd., will donate student-raised money to the American Red Cross at an assembly at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 14 in the school’s multi-purpose room.

Richard White, executive director of the American Red Cross, Southern Arizona Chapter, will receive the check for $671. To raise the funds, students and parents donated baked goods and sold them at bake sales throughout the week of Jan. 23 through Jan. 28. The Gale Student Council orchestrated the events to raise money for victims of the south Asian tsunami.
