Pueblo Students Donate Over $3,000 To World
Care For Tsunami Victims

Students at Pueblo High Magnet School, 3500 S. 12th Ave.,
will donate over $3,000 of student-raised money to World
Care at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23 in front of the school
near the flag pole.
Lisa Hopper, president of World Care, will receive the check
for $3,120.91. Over 1,800 Pueblo students held a spare change
drive from Jan. 10 through Feb. 12 to raise the funds. In
addition, on Jan. 22 students from Pueblo, Catalina High Magnet
School, Sabino High School, and Wakefield Middle School participated
in a walk-a-thon at Pueblo. The events were organized to raise
money for victims of the south Asian tsunami.
World Care is a Tucson-based nonprofit organization dedicated
to raising consciousness in the local and international arenas
of education, health, environmental, and community service.
