TUSD’s many educational advantages will be highlighted during a multimedia campaign including school bus advertisements, CDs and TV shows highlighting the district’s annual Kindergarten Round Up from March 13 through March 17 at over 70 elementary schools.

During the Round Up, schools will promote the benefits of TUSD full-day kindergarten by providing parents with information on class size, innovative curriculum and quality instruction and the outstanding qualities specific to their school site. Parents and their children will also have opportunities to speak with a variety of staff including teachers, counselors, nurses, food service staff in addition to principals and teachers. Prospective students can also participate in kindergarten activities with current students.

Elementary school principals have been provided with Kindergarten Round Up packets which include posters, brochures and a CD featuring Superintendent Roger Pfeuffer detailing the various aspects of a TUSD kindergarten program. Furthermore, TUSD TV Ch. 20 began airing kindergarten round up programming twice a day on March 6 and will continue airing the program through March 20.
