SCPC Invites Public to Learn About Special
Education Services in TUSD

Parents and caregivers of special needs children are invited
to learn about exceptional education services offered by TUSD
at an informational meeting from 9:30 to noon, Saturday, April
17 at Catalina High Magnet School, 3645 E. Pima.
Sponsored by TUSD and the School Community Partnership Counsel,
the informational meeting will begin with an introduction
from Dr. Estanislado Paz, TUSD Superintendent, at 10 a.m.
Parents can then choose from a variety of informational presentations,
including topics such as: community supports for parents with
special needs children; individual education plans; how AIMS
testing relates to special needs students; and, how parents
can better manage their child's behavior at home and at school.
Each presentation will last 40 minutes. TUSD exceptional education
staff will be on hand to answer questions.
Parents are asked to register from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Childcare
will be provided for attendees who R.S.V.P. to Carmen Quintero
at 225-6264, before April 15.
