Dunham Elementary School, 9850 E. 29th St., will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a rededication ceremony and carnival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the school.
The rededication is a free event to remember 30 outstanding years of education at Dunham. The event’s theme is “past, present and future.” Superintendent Roger Pfeuffer and Principal John Bellisario will address the attendees and two current Dunham students will read essays about what Dunham might be like in 30 years.
Following the ceremony, the school will hold a carnival. Activities will include a jumping castle, inflatable slide, and bungee run. All past and present students, teachers, principals and faculty are invited to attend.
Dunham Elementary School was opened in 1975 and was named for Alice Fulmer Dunham, a former District teacher and principal.
