Students at Richey Elementary School, 2209 N. 15th Ave., will stage a production of Shakespeare’s classic love story, "Romeo and Juliet," at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18. The performance is free and open to the public.

Eighth-graders Eddie Daniel and Andrea Olivas play Romeo and Juliet, respectively.

The play, under the direction of Richey teacher Denise Kenney, will feature 28 of the school’s talented middle school students in grades 6-8. (This is the first year that the school educates students in kindergarten through 8th grade.) In addition, some of the students helped design and build the set.
