Tucson High students with financial needs will have the opportunity to select from donated prom dresses from 1:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, April 19 in room 245 at Tucson High Magnet School, 400 N. 2nd Ave.

Used dresses of various sizes, styles and colors have been collected since January. Selected girls will have the opportunity to try on a number of gowns and choose one to take home for this year's prom.

The gowns were collected by Catherine's Closet, a charitable organization that collects and distributes dresses in various cities across the country. With the help of Buffalo Exchange and Tucson High teacher Ashley Shafer, the group successfully collected approximately 150 to 200 gowns this year.
