TUSD Students to Be Honored at
Automotive Banquet

Five TUSD high school students will be among those honored for their exceptional
automotive skills at the Automotive Wholesalers of Arizona Awards at 7 p.m. April 18 at
Four Points Sheridan, 1900 E. Speedway.
TUSD students include Scott Widick, Cholla; Brian Wilson, Palo Verde; Jared
Wilder, Rincon; Mark Benton, Sahuaro; Scott Raymond, Santa Rita; and Brandon
Dickerson, Tucson High. A total of 14 students will be honored, including students
from Morenci, Marana, Wilcox and Sunnyside as well as TUSD.
Each student will receive a jacket and a 14-drawer toolbox unit. Additionally, two
$1,000 scholarships will be awarded during the banquet. Students were selected from across
Southern Arizona based on a variety of criteria including outstanding technical skills,
academic achievements and community involvement.
