Helicopter Landing to Highlight Lyons Career Fair

A military helicopter landing will highlight a career fair featuring representatives from 18 different career fields for about
350 elementary students from 8:20 a.m. to 10 a.m. April 21 at Lyons Elementary School, 7555 E. Dogwood.
Students will rotate through three speakers and then view a helicopter landing at
9:40 a.m. on the school’s playground. These speakers will discuss the training and education they needed for their career. Students have studied various careers and will be given the opportunity to ask questions. The helicopter’s pilot, Warrant Officer Briggs, will also present information on his piloting experiences to the students after landing. In addition to the pilot, representatives from the following career fields will present to students:
