Holladay To Hold Dedication of Tiled Mural

More than 200 students will participate in a tile mural dedication at 10:45 a.m. April 25 at the entrance hall of Holladay Intermediate Magnet School, 1110 E. 33rd
St.
Overseen by teacher Debra Martinez, 36 students in third- through fifth- grades created a tile mural titled “Red Hawks Take Flight, ” which features various images of red hawks, trees and clouds. Students were inspired by the school’s red hawk mascot and studied the bird over the school’s six-week intersession.
The mural will be dedicated to the school. Afterwards, students who worked on the mural will be presented with a certificate for their efforts. A reception featuring refreshments will follow.
