Students and teachers at Dietz Elementary School, 7575 E. Palma, will hold a Remembrance Ceremony in response to last week’s attacks from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21.

The school community will convene in the cafeteria for the pledge of allegiance and reading of the book The Red Ribbon: A Story of Hope, which tells the tale of a make-believe kingdom whose members magically unite and begin working together after touching a red ribbon.

Then the group will move to the school’s patio and form a circle while holding on to a red ribbon. They will sing patriotic songs and share a moment of silence.
