Keen Elementary to Celebrate 50 Years

Keen Elementary, 3538 E. Ellington Pl., will celebrate its 50th birthday with a jubilee from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, October 10, in the school’s patio.

The jubilee is a free event to remember 50 remarkable years of education at Keen. The night is sure to entertain with performances from local bands and dance groups. Move to the tunes of Coyote, a rock band with former Keen students as members, and dance along with ZUZI, a local modern dance group. Enjoy the talent of both Mariachi Atzlan, students from Pubelo High Magnet School, and Changitos Feos mariachi group. If you are hungry, a combination dinner plate and lemonade will be served along with cake. 

All past and present students, teachers, principals and faculty are invited to attend. Around 400 guests are expected to attend.
