Second Ave.; Booth-Fickett Magnet School, 450 S. Montego Dr.; Safford Magnet Middle School, 200 E. 13th St.; and Utterback Magnet Middle School, 3233 S. Pinal Vista.

Each school received one complete I CAN Learn® classroom system from JRL Enterprises, Inc. and includes a computer workstation for each student in the class, a teacher workstation, a classroom server, the I CAN Learn® courseware and all furniture and equipment, as well as a comprehensive service and support package.

"I CAN Learn®" is an acronym for "Interactive Computer Aided Natural Learning and is a computer-based mathematics education system that has been improving students’ test scores and achievement for over a decade. The program provides complete algebra, pre-algebra, and fundamentals of math curricula to middle and high school students in over 500 classrooms in 23 states. Additionally, it presents mathematical fundamentals via an engaging multimedia presentation style that includes video, animation, and real-world application of concepts. The program’s scientifically based research and evidence of effectiveness have been recognized by The Department of Education’s What Works Clearinghouse, and it has also been declared a Promising Mathematics Program by the department.

In addition to science and math offerings, TUSD’s Magnet programs offer students in kindergarten through high school a wide variety of educational opportunities including basic curriculum, fine and performing arts, medical and language programs.
