Tucson Magnet High Celebrates Diversity

Various service organizations as well as multicultural music and dance will be highlighted at a student diversity celebration titled “Tucson High Meet Yourself” from 10:20 to 11:25 a.m., Friday, Oct. 10 at Tucson Magnet High School, 400 N. Second Ave., in the mall outside the school’s cafeteria. 

Performances by Tucson High students will include a jazz ensemble, folklorico dancers, a steel drum band, mariachis, guitars, and troubadours, as well as a performance by a Tucson High alumni group called the Diversity Dance Troupe. The event will also showcase clubs, magnet classes, and community resources that service youth and their families such as Ourtown, Tu Nidito, Kino Teen Center, and Open Inn along with Tucson High’s Native American Club and MEChA Club.
