Students, faculty, and the families of Cragin Elementary, 2945 N. Tucson Blvd., will observe Make a Difference Day by cleaning and fixing up the school grounds from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., Saturday, October 11

Volunteers will rake, paint and clean various school areas including the courtyard, playground and library. Doughnuts and juice will be served to volunteers. Community members are welcome to join in the pursuit to improve Cragin.

Created in 1992 by USA Weekend Magazine, Make a Difference Day is a worldwide campaign that encourages people to volunteer their time and talents to both community projects and community members who are less fortunate. It is our nation’s largest day of community service, with over three million participants in 2002.
