Students whose parents have signed them up for a new
dental program at Hohokam will receive dental services
from Healthy Kids Dental.
Dental services will be provided throughout the school
year to participating Hohokam students and many other
students at TUSD's 26 Title I schools. Services will be
provided by Dr. Eric Martin, a local dentist, a dental
technician, and an educational/support person. Students
will receive preventative dental education, exams, cleanings
and follow-up care. Other services will include X-rays,
fluoride treatments, sealants for back teeth, fillings
and other restorative work.
Healthy Kids was launched in TUSD in October and has
since provided dental services to students at Cavett,
Pueblo Gardens, Menlo Park, TAPP, and Keen elementary
schools. The program enhances TUSD's current dental programs
and will continue during the summer at the district's
Family Resource and Wellness Centers.
Healthy Kids Dental Program is provided at no cost to
students ages 3 to 20 with AHCCCS or KidsCare insurance.
Uninsured children receive services at a reduced rate.
There is no cost to TUSD. Healthy Kids and Seniors Dental
is the nation's leading provider of outreach dental services
for children and seniors. Healthy Kids and Seniors Dental
provides comprehensive dental services for children in
schools, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters,
day centers, foster programs and for seniors in nursing

Parents who have students in a Title I program and would
