Fifth-grade students at Holladay Fine Arts Magnet School, 1110 E. 33rd St., will stage two 45-minute productions of "Our Nifty 50 United States" at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the school auditorium. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.

"Our Nifty 50 United States," complete with scenery and costumes, traces the history of the United States through music, dance, art and drama. From the opening number of "50 Nifty United States" through to the closing "This Land is Your Land," the educational and entertaining production recounts our country’s history from the Revolutionary War to the present.

Holladay Fine Arts Magnet School combines academics, physical education, technology, cooperative learning and multicultural education with an emphasis on the visual and performing arts to provide students with lifelong skills that prepare them to become productive and contributing members of society.
