Public Invited to Learn About Special Education Services in TUSD

Parents and caregivers of special needs children are invited to learn about exceptional education services offered by TUSD at an informational meeting from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20 at Cholla High Magnet School, 2001 W. Starr Pass Blvd., in the auditorium.

Sponsored by TUSD, the informational meeting will include a variety of informational presentations, including topics such as: community supports for parents with special needs children; individual education plans; and, how AIMS testing relates to special needs students. Each presentation will last 45 minutes. There will also be an assistive technology demonstration as well as vendor displays. TUSD exceptional education staff will be on hand to answer questions and all discussions will include Spanish translation.

Parents are asked to register from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Childcare will be provided for attendees who R.S.V.P. to Carmen Quintero at 225-6264, by Nov. 17.
