Sixth-graders at Booth-Fickett Magnet School, 450 S. Montego Dr., will learn how
to make book jackets from artists who work for Michael Bolchalk Marketing from 9:30
a.m. to 10 a.m. Nov. 20 at the school.
The project is a culmination of a reading lesson taught in Thomas Guards language
arts class, which integrates visual and language arts. Volunteering artists will help
students translate their reading into images and understand how to convince an audience a
book is worth reading. Artists include Robyn Frye, creative director, and Chaun Osborne,
graphic artist, both from Michael Bolchalk Marketing.
