Gale Principal Named Outstanding Decision Maker By Arizona Library Association.

The Arizona Library Association will honor Paula Godfrey, principal at Gale Elementary, with the 2004 Outstanding Decision Maker Award at an awards banquet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 at the Hilton El Conquistador Resort, 10000 N. Oracle Rd.

The award recognizes an Arizona administrator or elected/appointed official who exhibits significant support for librarians. Paula ensures that the Gale library’s collection of books and technology remains up-to-date, encourages library workers to attend professional development events, and continues to make certain that the school retains a full-time librarian. 

The Arizona Library Association was begun in 1926 by Estelle Lutrell and State Librarian Con Cronin to promote support for and improve Arizona libraries.
