Celebrate The Holidays with ArtWORKS! Academy

Student-made artwork, pastries, coffee and hot cocoa will highlight a holiday art exhibit opening reception from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9 at the ArtWORKS! Academy gallery located in the El Con Mall, 3601 E. Broadway Blvd.

Participants who bring a canned food item to be donated to the Community Food Bank or an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots will receive a 15 percent discount on purchases of $10 or more. The event will include a holiday gift silent auction of ceramics and paintings as well as holiday ornament door prizes. Acoustic guitar music will be played by ArtWORKS! students.

ArtWORKS! Academy is an alternative school operated through a partnership between TUSD and the Tucson Pima Arts Council. The program consists of an academic educational experience, aimed at completing requirements for high school graduation, and practical and creative training in artistic techniques in design, ceramics and printmaking.
