Saint Nicholas will distribute backpacks filled with toys, dental necessities and a new book to students at five TUSD elementary schools on Thursday, Dec. 6. (See times below.)

The sixth annual "Visit from Saint Nicholas," sponsored by the Volunteer Center of Tucson, also will feature community leaders, including University of Arizona women’s basketball coach Joan Bonvicini and Volunteer Center board members and volunteers.

Saint Nicholas will arrive by helicopter and visit Cavett Elementary School, 2120 E. Naco Vista Dr., from 8:15-8:45 a.m.; Ochoa Elementary School, 101 W. 25^th St., from 9-9:30 a.m.; and Menlo Park Elementary School, 1100 W. Fresno, from 9:45-10:15 a.m.

He will arrive by fire truck and visit Pueblo Gardens Elementary School, 2210 E. 33^rd St., from 8:15-8:45 a.m.; and Johnson Primary School, 6060 S. Joseph Ave., from 10:30-11 a.m.
