U.S. Rep. Raśl Grijalva to Visit Naylor

U.S. Representative Raśl Grijalva will speak about his life as a congressman to more than 300 Naylor Middle School students from
10 to 11 a.m., tomorrow, Nov. 5 in the multi-purpose room at Naylor Middle
School, 1701 S. Columbus Blvd.
Throughout the semester, Naylor students have been corresponding with Rep. Grivalja through letters. The congressman chose to visit Naylor to share his experiences in the U.S. House of Representatives, including what an average day is like working in Washington, D.C. Following his discussion, Mr. Grijalva will open the floor up for a question and answer period for students.
Rep. Grijalva was a TUSD Governing Board member from 1974 through 1986. He is a strong supporter of public education. Currently his daughter Adelita Grijalva serves on the board.
Naylor boasts a strong bilingual education program, along with Gifted and Talented Education, an Adopt-a-Grade partnership program, peer mediation and many more successful programs.
